All we want for our wedding is for you to be there. (Not quite as catchy as the Mariah Carey song, but same sentiment.) However, if you feel so compelled, we ask that you consider donating to one of the following non-profit organizations in our names.
Southern Arizona
KtDT TUcson, Downtown Radio (99.1 FM)
Jon and Sam are huge fans of Team Traxx with Billy WestBound, a weekly radio show on Tucson’s underground community radio station. We hope you’ll tune in on Saturdays from 1-3 PM for an eclectic mix of musical genres or stream Billy’s previous shows on Spotify. Independent radio stations need our support now more than ever given the federal funding cuts to public broadcasting.

Las Milpitas de Cottonwood Community Farm

Sam and Jon greatly enjoy attending Sketching the Senses events at Las Milpitas, co-organized by Jon’s sister Melinda and her friends Teresa and Ai. Sam loves them so much she’s taken the bus down to Tucson for the weekend several times to keep filling in her sketchbook! Beyond these amazing, art-filled events, Las Milpitas supports Tucsonans in growing their own food. To support this beautiful urban farm and its growers, consider giving to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
Northern Arizona
Grand Canyon Conservancy – North Rim Recovery Fund

The Arlington-Meier-Araujo* annual North Rim camping trip is a beloved family tradition which Jon has joined since 2019. Tragically, the 2025 Dragon Bravo Fire destroyed the historic 1928 North Rim lodge and much of the other infrastructure at the North Rim. Please donate to the recovery effort not just for us, but for this incredible, unique landscape and the plants, animals, and peoples it supports.
(*Now Arlington-Meier-Araujo-Volkova-Englert, or AMAVE.)
Flagstaff Biking Organization

Jon and Sam both rely on their bikes for daily transportation. Flagstaff Biking Organization (FBO) has been active in supporting the local bicycling community since 2002. (Plus, Sam’s an FBO board member!) Please consider contributing to support this work and keep Sam, Jon, and other cyclists safe on our streets.
